Your new role
- As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the strategic and tactical planning of electrical systems.
- You will oversee electrical infrastructure upgrades as part of an electrification program, ensuring the removal of all existing gas-fired equipment.
- Establish and maintain design and development controls that maximise the quality and environmental performance of newly constructed or refurbished buildings and site services.
- You will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all electrical designs meet industry standards and requirements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Your expertise will guide decision-making and capital expenditure to align with our broader organisational objectives.
What you'll need to succeed - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant qualification.
- Extensive experience in electrical services safety systems.
- Experience in the development and implementation of electrical systems and strategic and tactical approaches that support corporate objectives, maximise return on investment and operational performance.
- Demonstrated contemporary and technical knowledge of electrical services, preferably on large sites, and relevant standards and regulations.
- Extensive experience in leading and evaluating initiatives aligned to best practice and driving innovation in processes, systems and work practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading customer-centric work processes, building collaborative relationships, and driving innovation.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide authoritative advice and effectively communicate and present complex information.
What you'll get in return
- Temporary, full-time position estimated for an initial 6 months with potential for ongoing or fixed-term placement.
- Hourly rate banding of approximately $90.00 - $95.00/hr.
- Flexible workplace practices once trained, primarily based away from the Melbourne CBD in Clayton.
