About the Role
This senior technical role involves leading planning, modelling, and infrastructure assessments to support long-term transmission network upgrades and REZ development. You’ll work with internal teams, market operators, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver strategic advice and ensure the electricity grid is ready for a renewable-powered future.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert input into transmission and REZ planning
- Develop capacity outlooks, cost-benefit analyses, and network design methodologies
- Collaborate with technical teams and external partners
- Prepare high-level briefings and reports for senior decision-makers
- Represent the organisation in key forums and policy discussions
About You
You bring a strong mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement. You have:
- A degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, or a related field
- Experience in electricity transmission planning and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in modelling tools such as PLEXOS and PSS/E
- Strong communication and project leadership skills
- Public sector or infrastructure planning experience (desirable)

You’ll join a dedicated division responsible for coordinating the development of REZs and transmission infrastructure. The team manages a significant investment fund and leads the delivery of long-term transmission plans.
