Your new role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Architect to come onboard for a 6-month temporary contract, with the possibility of permanency.
As an experienced Architect, you will naturally lead within the Design team and, being both creative and detail-oriented, you will lead architectural projects from concept through to completion. You will be joining a collaborative team in an exciting environment, working across a variety of projects – no day the same!
Responsibilities
Lead and manage architectural design projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Develop architectural concepts, site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents using CAD/BIM software ArchiCAD.
Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout all phases of a project.
Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, zoning research, and code reviews.
Prepare project presentations and reports for clients and regulatory agencies.
Participate in or lead project meetings, design charrettes, and construction administration efforts.
Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, civil) to integrate all design aspects.
What you'll need to succeed
Have 5+ years in an architectural design role
Experience with Aged Care and/or Education projects – Ideal
Experienced in overseeing the design process from concept to completion, including construction documentation.
Master’s degree in Architecture, highly regarded
Proficient in ArchiCAD, Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design outcomes.
In-depth understanding of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory frameworks. Strong technical detailing and documentation skills.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to foster a positive and creative working environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle design challenges and find practical solutions.
