This Big Four Bank is well established in the local community of Inverell and is looking for a part-time or full-time Teller to join their experienced team. The goal is to help customers achieve their financial goals by connecting them with the right products and services.

Your new role

This is the perfect entry-level banking role for any recent graduate and/or candidate holding previous customer service, retail or hospitality experience looking to gain exposure in a Big 4 Bank.
Duties will include:
  • Delivering a high level of customer service in branch by providing a seamless service to customers
  • Cash handling, processing customer banking transactions and requests, EFTPOS transactions and administration tasks
  • Providing information and assistance on financial service queries surrounding withdrawals and deposits
  • Assist in educating and guiding customers to digital services
  • Working closely with the team and always putting the customer first whilst working to your, and the branch's targets

What you'll need to succeed

  • A motivation to learn, a passion for banking and excellent customer service skills
  • You will be a strong decision maker and problem solver with a positive disposition
  • Comfortable talking to people and building strong relationships
  • Reliable and hard-working with excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work efficiently as part of a team

  • Working hours are 8.30-16.30 Mon-Thurs and 8.30-17.30 Friday for full-time hours and can be part time, working 3-4 full days per week. The number of days worked will be flexible
  • This role is expected to be for a year at an hourly rate of $35.86 + Super that may be able to convert to a contract depending on performance and business needs
  • An ongoing role in a supportive and fun environment offering further development and training
