Organisational Change Manager

6 month initial contract for an Organisational Change Manager to join a higher education client.

Your new role

As an Organisational Change Manager, you will lead the change management efforts for key ICT initiatives including Digital Signatures, SharePoint, and Identity Management Uplift. Your role will be to ensure successful adoption of these technologies by managing the people side of change—driving engagement, reducing resistance, and enabling smooth transitions through structured communication, training, and readiness planning.

Your responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to support ICT project delivery.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement across academic and professional staff groups.
  • Identify change impacts and develop mitigation strategies to support adoption.
  • Design and deliver communication and training plans tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Monitor change readiness and adjust plans to ensure successful transitions.
  • Collaborate with project teams, business units, and leadership to embed change.
  • Provide coaching and support to change champions and leaders.
  • Evaluate change effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in organisational change management, ideally within higher education or complex public sector environments.
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Experience supporting ICT or digital transformation projects.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and training development skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and outcomes-focused approach to managing change.
