Hays client is an established carpentry and maintenance company with an impressive portfolio focusing on remediation and insurance projects. The scope of works includes, but is not limited to, plastering, patching and sheeting, as well as touch-up work, minor painting tasks, assisting carpenters, minor roofing work and general handy duties. This role requires someone who can work independently, manage tasks and meet all necessary job requirements.

Your new role

• Preparing, cutting, and installing gyprock sheeting
• Undertake all plastering, patching, and finishing
• Complete minor carpentry and handyperson tasks
• Carry out minor painting and touch-up tasks
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations
• Reading and interpreting site plans and adhering to site safety
• Maintaining cleanliness on site and maintenance of tools

What you'll need to succeed

• Hold a relevant trade certificate or be highly experienced in the field
• Ability to perform all plastering, sheeting, minor carpentry, and maintenance tasks
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team efficiently
• Hold a valid white card, asbestos awareness, and silica awareness tickets
• Valid police check and working with vulnerable people card or ability to obtain
• Hold a valid C-class drivers’ licence
