Your new role

• Analyse project documentation, drawings, and specifications to produce accurate and timely cost estimates
• Prepare and manage pre-contract financial, material, labour, and time estimates
• Provide input into tender strategy, pricing structures, and bid development
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to gather and verify cost data
• Maintain cost databases, supplier directories, and estimating tools
• Prepare post-tender documentation including detailed cost breakdowns and initial project schedules
• Review and maintain the schedule of rates in conjunction with operations
• Ensure quality and consistency in tender submissions across technical, commercial, and financial aspects
• Track industry trends, pricing changes, and cost-saving opportunities

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in telecommunications estimating (fibre, wireless, civil works, or transmission preferred)
• Strong understanding of electrical and civil construction methodologies
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project scopes
