My client, a State Government department, are looking for a multiple experienced Senior Communications Advisors to support a large Government department for a 6 month period. These are corporate communication positions that will see you supporting an array of key stakeholders with communications guidance and assistance.
Your new role
As a Senior Communications Advisor you will be responsible for providing effective communications planning and services in conjunction with key stakeholders utilising a variety of platforms and methods. This role will have a large focus on communications planning inclusive of writing and editing, as well as translating technical information into plain English that is tailored towards differing audiences.
You will prepare both traditional content such as collateral, as well as online materials including website copy and updates, and EDMs that will streamline processes to improve and uplift content. You will be adaptable and embrace change well, often working on multiple projects with competing priorities. Possessing a highly collaborative approach, and a strong focus on relationships, these positions is required to partner closely with stakeholders in varied positions at all levels to deliver the requirements of the positions.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for these roles, you will have:
- A high level of experience communicating and managing a substantial group of stakeholders, whilst writing and implementing communications strategies
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of communications projects and campaigns
- Superior communications skills both written and verbal to manage and build on relationships with stakeholders at varying levels
- Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving can-do attitude
- Ability to translate technical information into engaging and easy to understand language for different audiences.
- The ability to work well under pressure with competing deadlines
- Ability to commence immediately and to commit to the assignment for the full duration
