Rate: $34.59 an hour plus super!
Type: Ongoing Contract
Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 7 hours a day
Location: Newcastle
Interviews: Wednesday 11th June
Starting: Wednesday 25th June

Your new company
Hays has partnered with a state government organisation to fill multiple roles in Newcastle. This well-known and supportive organisation is a household name, with sites across NSW. They value exceptional customer service above all.
Your new role
The successful candidates will be placed on a rotating roster, Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays.After completing training, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Answering inbound calls, addressing queries, and providing accurate information to clients
- Providing excellent customer service
- Using multiple government systems, entering data, and navigating multiple screens
- Meeting KPIs
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a government or call centre role (highly desirable)
- Previous experience in customer service, administration or similar (essential)
- Excellent communication skills, able to 'smile through the phone'
- Tech-savvy, the ability to pick up systems quickly and navigate across multiple government programs
- Successful candidates may need to complete a police check
