We are partnered with a Vocational Education and Training Provider in Queensland to recruit Content Writers.

Your new role

This role has the potential to have remote working arrangements. The Content and Assessment Writer is responsible for ensuring learning and assessment resources developed align to the qualification, unit requirements, legislative and industry requirements, and standards.

In this temporary assignment, your responsibilities will include:
  • Design, develop and update assessment tools and educational documentation, including RPL tools and supplementary resources. Ensuring they meet the assessment requirements of the relevant Training package or VET accredited Qualification.
  • Create adaptable learning resources for online and print formats, aligning with national training package qualifications.
  • Continuously improve and update existing learning and assessment resources.
  • Provide efficient and effective support to organisation product teams.
  • Design, develop and update assessment tools to meet training package and VET accreditation requirements.
  • Produce assessment mapping and ancillary documents as needed.
  • Participate in validation of assessment tools before implementation.
  • Develop, review and update well-structured, accurate and stylised learning resources.
  • Modify resources based on Quality Assurance/Validation/Vocational specialist feedback.
  • Collaborate with Product Lead/Product Coordinator to set objectives, milestones and responsibilities.
  • Foster a team-based, collaborative and outcome-focused culture with responsive issue management.
  • Promote an ethical and safe work environment focused on health, safety, wellness and sustainability.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Given the nature of this role, you should possess subject matter expertise in areas such as Electrical Work, Engineering, Sustainability, Mining, or Electrical Engineering, along with strong writing skills to effectively develop assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop valid and reliable assessment tools and associated documentation, have a clear understanding of training packages and required components.
  • Ability to develop learning resources, ensuring content meets learning and teaching needs.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong ability to organise and achieve quality work outcomes, meet deadlines and function autonomously within a team environment.
