A great opportunity has come to fruition to join a reputable Govt organisation responsible for construction & maintenance across the Wide Bay Region. This is a temporary contract role providing a great steppingstone to an employer of choice, with a strong pipeline of work ahead.

Your new role

You will join a team of Supervisors responsible for the supervision of Govt. maintenance & capital works projects across the Wide Bay region. Projects can range from Ergon Energy building infrastructure to Govt housing, to schools, ambulances etc. Duties will vary and could range from being able to inspect electrical sites for condition, assessing and organising maintenance services, to construction project completions, O&M manuals, working closely with Foreman and assisting with WH&S requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience working in either construction or maintenance, ideally in a similar capacity. Whether you have completed inspections of sites to organise maintenance works or supervised projects, either would be good. Strong computer skills are essential, along with strong leadership and communication skills. A QBCC Site Supervisors Licence and blue card (working with children) would be well regarded, but not essential.

What you'll get in return

A competitive hourly casual rate of $65.91 per hour + Super, along with a high probability of a contract extension. While the initial contract period will be short, it is expected to go long term.
