Your new role
This role will see you a se4nior member of the insurance claims team, taking on a variety of claims from lodgement to settlement across multiple lines of general insurance. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide expert claims advice and support to clients throughout the claims process.
- Act as a client advocate to ensure fair insurer outcomes.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, insurers, and third parties.
- Lodge and manage claims efficiently, ensuring timelines and expectations are met.
- Accurately record claim details and settlement outcomes in internal systems.
- Use standard templates for all reports and correspondence.
- Finalise claims and gather client feedback to improve service.
- Prepare monthly claims reports and track key metrics.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain professional development and contribute to team projects and culture.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex claims from lodgement to resolution across various insurance lines.
- Strong working knowledge of insurance systems and tools, including claims tracking and reporting platforms.
- Proven success in negotiating with insurers and advocating for client outcomes.
- Experience supporting a diverse client base, including corporate, SME, and retail sectors.
- Familiarity with external service providers such as assessors, repairers, and loss adjusters.
- Solid background in general insurance with a minimum of five years in claims or broking roles.
- Established professional relationships within the insurance industry, particularly with insurer claims teams.
- High-level understanding of insurance product structures and claims procedures across multiple classes.
