My client is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead complex contract negotiations, manage supplier performance, and ensure commercial success across a strategically vital project. This is a contracting opportunity, work from home flexibility and working with an amazing team of like-minded individuals. Defence experience is essential for this position, as well as the ability to work above the line, with existing defence clearance.

Your new role

• Lead end-to-end contract management for major defence maritime systems and services.
• Negotiate, draft, and manage high-value contracts in compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and ASDEFCON.
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure contractual alignment with project goals.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage contract variations, and mitigate commercial risks.
• Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on contractual matters and commercial frameworks.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in contract management within the defence, maritime, or complex infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Government contracting frameworks (e.g., ASDEFCON).
• Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and risk management skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
• Existing NV1 Clearance
