This is a modern, forward-thinking and growing insurance brokerage based in Melbourne's CBD, who are looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join their team. The company is looking to hire an experienced insurance account executive, to deal with a strong book of commercial work, covering mainly Business Package, Small ISR, Public / Management Liability, Marine Transit, and Cyber. This is a flexible role based in Melbourne's CBD.
Your new role
This role will see you work as part of an insurance broking team, dealing with a broad mix of both new and existing commercial and SME clients. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage and retain a portfolio of SME clients across various industries.
- Prepare and present tailored insurance solutions and renewal options.
- Negotiate terms with underwriters and issue policy documentation.
- Handle client enquiries and support claims processes as needed.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and referral leads.
- Ensure compliance with RG146, industry regulations, and internal policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products and market trends.
- Collaborate with team members and management to meet business goals.
- Deliver high-quality service with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Complete the required professional development and maintain Tier 1 qualifications.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a commercial insurance portfolio.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of general insurance products.
- Familiarity with claims processes and broking systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
