Our State Government client is looking for an experienced Communications Adviser to join their team on an initial 4-week temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to support organisational objectives.
Create and distribute press releases, ensuring accurate and timely information dissemination.
Monitor and update the intranet, maintaining a consistent flow of information.
Write engaging stories and content for internal and external audiences.
Manage the monthly staff newsletter, ensuring it is informative and engaging.
Utilise digital skills to enhance intranet functionalities and improve user experience.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
Analyse communication efforts and provide insights for continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and reliability.
Previous experience in government roles or similar environments.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in digital tools and platforms related to communications.
