Our client in the Charters Towers region of North Queensland, are now seeking an experienced and safety-focused Process Operators

Your new role

Based within the Processing Plant in Charters Towers we are seeking a process operator on a 8/6 or 7/7 roster this hands-on role is responsible for the operation of the gold room duties may include:

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor gold room processes (electrowinning, calcining, pouring) to maximise recovery and bullion quality.
• Operate the Elution circuit batch operation in conjunction with Shift Supervisor.
• Ensure accurate bullion inventory, gold bar handling, and dispatch procedures.
• Maintain gold room security and compliance with all company and regulatory standards.
• Monitor process equipment and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Conduct sampling and maintain comprehensive operational records and reports.
• Perform general maintenance, housekeeping, and safe chemical handling in the gold room.
• Collaborate closely with processing and metallurgical teams to ensure optimal plant performance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 2 years' experience within processing
• Valid manual driver’s licence and ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
• Forklift, loader, confined space, and working at heights tickets are highly regarded.
• Experience using laboratory equipment and conducting basic tests is advantageous.
• Experience within Gold Room processing highly regarded
