Your new role
For this role, we are seeking a skilled Abrasive Blaster and Coatings Applicator to join the team in Townsville. The ideal candidate will operate tools and machinery in the workshop, ensuring safe and precise operation at all times. This role requires a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities
• Grit, garnet, and sponge blast components.
• Rebuild components with Belzona and apply Belzona coatings.
• Perform general spray-painting.
• Operate general hand tools (electric & pneumatic).
• Dismantle and clean parts, assemble pumps and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.
• Comply with all OHS policies
• Train and direct contractors.

What you'll need to succeed
• Abrasive blasting experience.
• Forklift licence.
• Highly motivated
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem solve in a dynamic environment.

What you'll get in return
In return, our client can offer a permanent position in Townsville, up to $38 per hour + overtime + superannuation. As this role is local to Townsville, you will return home every night, ensuring a healthy work - life balance.
