As a Freezer Worker, you will be responsible for receiving, stacking, storing, and distributing product and packaging material—all while upholding the highest standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Receive and store products and packaging materials in a well-organized manner
Bag, palletise, de-rack, and wrap products using safe manual handling techniques
Ensure accurate stock management and clear separation and labelling of product lines
Load freezers for optimal freezing times and manage frozen/fresh sales orders for courier delivery or collection
Oversee the distribution process, including loading freight vehicles and preparing containers per contract specifications
Utilise RF scanners and inventory systems to maintain up-to-date inventory records
Complete required documentation and apply customer labels as needed
Consistently adhere to HACCP food safety standards and environmental guidelines
What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in large freezers
Proven experience with inventory systems, including RF scanners and stocktake procedures
Ability to work effectively in below-zero temperatures
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills
Strong understanding of HACCP food safety practices and the cold chain process
Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
A forklift licence is essential
Knowledge of fish/seafood products is an advantage
