Your new role

As the North Queensland Technical Sales Consultant, based in Townsville, you will be responsible for promoting, maintaining, and developing business across Far North Queensland. Reporting to the North Queensland Manager, you’ll manage the full sales cycle—from identifying opportunities and quoting to hands-on application work and customer training. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external clients to deliver technical solutions that meet and exceed expectations, while ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving or exceeding sales and gross profit targets
  • Providing technical advice and hands-on support for applications
  • Developing new business and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Preparing accurate quotations and documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with OHS/WHS and company policies
  • Maintaining detailed records in CRM and SharePoint systems

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 5 years of technical experience, ideally in industrial or mechanical environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
  • A current driving licence and physical capability for hands-on work
  • Desirable qualifications include experience with rotating equipment, industrial sales, and tertiary qualifications in business or engineering.
