The position sits within the Student Admin School Application Services Quality & Operations team and has a strong focus on school systems, including Student Insight and CASES21 functions and process.


Your new role


The purpose of this role is to perform business and systems analysis and testing of the Department's critical School Administration system (CASES21), Student Insight and other important and complex business applications projects across the Division, and to contribute to business analysis and quality assurance activities for the School Systems Unit.


Accountabilities


  • Have a good understanding of integrated IT systems within the Schools Systems environment to undertake effective testing, business systems analysis and design, including high-level modelling, process flow modelling, process re-engineering and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Analyse and communicate stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements whilst documenting and evaluating required data and information.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of client business processes and make an active contribution to the improvement of these processes through inputs into the development, modification and maintenance of systems.
  • Analyse technical processes to identify opportunities for improvement and design, develop and implement new and enhanced processes whilst supporting project management for business process changes.


What you'll need to succeed


  • Minimum 3 years of Business and Technical Analysis or related experience delivering analysis artefacts on high-complexity ICT projects
  • Experience with SQL Server Management studio and reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Experience with Salesforce and MuleSoft
  • Experience and understanding of database systems and data management processes.
  • Accreditation for Working with Children in Children's services
  • Qualification in Business and Technical Analysis such as CBAP or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong working and practical knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) or similar.
