About the role:

This role is to provide technical investigation and resolution of control systems issues identified by Control Room Operators, 24x7 Control Systems Support teams or other stakeholders.

• Provide control systems technical expertise to production critical issues, encompassing automated train loading, dumping, stacking, screening, crushing, reclaiming and ship loading operations.
• Investigate and identify the root cause of related control systems downtime and identify and execute solutions to prevent events from re-occurring.
• Deliver minor improvement projects (PLC/SCADA) as applicable to optimise/improve plant performance.
• Provide support using Allen Bradley PLCs, GE PLCs, Schneider PLCs, Citect SCADA system, and other software packages to provide the required support to the business.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering / Control Systems Engineering or Trade qualifications in Electrical / Instrumentation discipline.

• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, Schneider PLCs, and Citect SCADA systems.

• At least 5 years' control system experience with large-scale bulk handling operations, encompassing automated train loading systems, dumping, stacking, reclaiming and ship loading operations, as well as experience in process optimisation/improvement.

• Good communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.

• Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident.
