About the Role
A leading NSW state government organisation is looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join a small, focused team working on the development and enhancement of a state-wide Registry. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful government initiative that supports citizens across New South Wales.
In this role, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external government delivery agencies to ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of project activities. You’ll play a key role in maintaining project governance, tracking progress, and supporting the implementation of improved systems and processes.
Key Accountabilities
Provide timely and relevant analysis and advice on project and program issues.
Develop and maintain robust project and program plans, including tracking and monitoring tools.
Support the implementation of new processes and procedures to improve project delivery.
Assist in the development of risk tracking and mitigation strategies.
Prepare reports, documentation, and updates for stakeholders and governance bodies.
Key Challenges
Navigating a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
Establishing business rules and program logic for work already in progress.
Coordinating across multiple government agencies and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated experience in project coordination or business analysis within a government or public sector environment.
Strong understanding of project and program management principles.
Experience working on IT-related projects (technical knowledge not required, but familiarity with standards, risks, and terminology is a plus).
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
