Your new role
As the Director of Corporate and Financial Services, you’ll guide the strategic direction and operational excellence of the council’s internal functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll play a key role in the executive leadership team—shaping initiatives that drive innovation, performance, and community outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
•Set and lead the strategic vision for corporate and financial services across the organisation.
•Deliver integrated, high-impact services that promote efficiency and sustainable growth.
•Champion a culture of excellence and accountability in service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
•Inspire and develop a high-performing team through values-driven leadership.
•Oversee financial planning, budgeting, procurement, risk management, audit, and reporting.
•Drive continuous improvement in business systems and operational processes.
•Lead IT infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives across the organisation.
•Manage strategic communications, stakeholder relationships, and community engagement to enhance transparency and trust.

We’re seeking a CPA-qualified professional with a proven record of leadership in corporate services within a local government context. You’ll bring extensive experience in executive-level financial management, strategic planning, and operational oversight. Your leadership style is grounded in integrity, collaboration, and strong interpersonal skills—key to building trusted relationships across the council and community.

•A competitive salary of $160,000–$180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
