With a strong presence in Australia and a collaborative, high-performance culture, they are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Broadmeadows.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance across the business. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP and internal policies.
• Month-End Management: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately and on time.
• P&L Preparation: Deliver insightful profit and loss analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• FX Risk Management: Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposure, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Audit Coordination: Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
• Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

• CA/CPA qualified with a strong technical accounting background
• Proven experience in a similar senior accounting role, ideally within a multinational FMCG / retail / consumer goods environment
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and tax compliance
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
