Your new role
Join the Spatial Intelligence team as a Spatial Data Analyst, where you'll provide technical expertise in spatial data management, geospatial reporting, and data quality analysis to support our business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain geospatial data using strategic governance frameworks.
- Source, capture, analyze, and provide relevant spatial data using corporate systems and specialist applications.
- Collaborate with the Senior Analyst to develop and implement standards and procedures for managing spatial data (including raster, vector, and metadata).
- Provide expert advice and training on the use of spatial data, metadata, data standards, and workflows to business units, capital projects, and external partners.
- Maintain the spatial data environment and associated workflows, including process automation.
- Undertake activities and initiatives that support the delivery of team, section, and branch business plans related to spatial data development.
- Engage proactively with technical experts and business leaders to progress your technical development.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Geography, Geographic Information Management, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Relevant experience in geospatial information management and data governance.
- Considerable experience with geographic information systems and data management products (ESRI Enterprise, Portal, ArcPro, FME, GE Smallworld).
- Experience with data extract, transformation, and load (ETL) using SQL, FME, or similar tools.
- Experience sourcing and providing vector-based data services, especially from local, state, and federal government agencies.
