It is a manufacturing company with over 100 years’ experience, and they are the market leaders in their field. They have an opening for a Demand Planner located at their head office in western Sydney.
Your new role
You will ensure demand plans are robust through exceptional stakeholder engagement to support the delivery of their customer commitments to business partners. You will provide process and plan development through robust analysis and insights supporting initiatives.
Drive the strategic priorities of the Demand team and communicate and identify and engage key stakeholders to achieve overall business objectives
Review marketplace, customer and historical data to provide key insights and analysis at a national level, including modelling and analysis from a bottom-up and top-down level.
Provide strong commercial rigour to forecast assumptions, including insights to business partners on market share, brand performance and supply.
Review demand forecasts nationally to ensure forecasts accurately reflect sales consensus
Drive simplification of systems and processes through continuous improvement initiatives
Build on IT solutions to ensure business-critical volume forecasting and reporting are supported
What you'll need to succeed
Ability to build strong, constructive relationships across a number of cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to work through high levels of ambiguity and complexity
Strong action orientation and self-cause mindset to deliver outcomes in tight timeframes.
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly analytic
Ability to manage projects and programs through effective change management
Degree qualification in a relevant discipline, including Finance, Operations or Logistics
Sound post-graduate experience in a similar capacity, preferably in an FMCG commercial environment
Experience in developing and implementing engagement plans
Leading and implementing change
Delivering system and process continuous improvement initiatives
Communicating change to a broad range of stakeholders to align and engage
Supported cross-functional project or initiative
What you'll get in return
This is initially a temporary position lasting approximately three months, paying $45ph depending on experience. At the end of the three-month period, there could be an option to extend this temporary role further or for it to transition into a permanent role.
