Your new company

Hays have partnered exclusively with a very successful services-focused business, who have recently established in Australia with ambitious growth plans. Due to upcoming acquisitions and projected income, they are now seeking to bring accounting in-house and appoint a new Head of Finance to lead all internal processes, create a like-minded team around them and work closely with executives to advise on strategic direction.

Your new role

Reporting to the CEO, your key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with boards and executive teams to evaluate strategic initiatives
• Building and maintaining financial models
• Deliver variance analysis with business insights
• Oversee day-to-day financial processes and operations
• Drive continuous improvement in systems and reporting tools
• Treasury and capital management
• Lead initiatives to improve cost reporting

What you'll need to succeed

• CA/CPA designation or similar is mandatory

• Minimum of 10 years experience in financial accounting (mining industry would be ideal, or similar)

• At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role

• Proven experience managing multi-entity structures and regulatory compliance

• Deep knowledge of the Australian tax frameworks and IFRS

• Advanced skills in Excel and large-scale ERP software
