Your new company
Our state government client, based in Perth, is seeking a driven Financial Analyst to join their busy team. Our client is seeking someone to commence as soon as possible through to August 2025. This will be a temporary contract arrangement with the expectation of working a full-time government working week of 37.5 hours.
Your new role
Analyse financial data and create reports to track business performance and support decision-making.
Develop financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into trends and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in preparing budgets, financial statements, and variance analyses.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic planning.
Collaborate with teams to provide financial advice and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and reporting standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant knowledge and experience in analysing, evaluating and preparing written budget initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial modelling and using financial management systems.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
Knowledge of relevant accounting and financial principles.
