Our State Government client is looking for an experienced Digital Communications Officer to join their team on a short-term temporary contract until September 2025.

Your new role

• Assist in developing and overseeing systems to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, legal, and statutory requirements.

• Provide high-quality graphic design services for internal stakeholders, including publications, advertising, social media graphics, digital newsletters, promotional items, signage, and visual content for digital platforms.

• Film, edit, and create videos for internal and external purposes, and design and maintain internal design templates.

• Assist with the development and application of visual and writing style guides across all materials, uniforms, and merchandise.

• Liaise with external consultants and designers to ensure brand consistency.

• Coordinate internal communications, including drafting and publishing news articles, updating intranet links, and general content styling.

• Assist with updates and develop visual content for the website to ensure consistency and currency.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team, liaise with stakeholders, and build strong relationships.

• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and coordinating visual and video design projects, utilising graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Windows), InDesign, Canva and Premier Pro for video editing.

• Experienced in managing online communication needs in a dynamic environment. High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

• Skilled in corporate identity and brand management.
