Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage multiple Cyber Security Architects (EL2 Equivalent) on an initial 12-month contract with potential extensions of up to 12 months. Open to candidates Australia-wide, this role requires eligibility for NV1 security clearance. As part of their continued focus on enhancing cyber security, the agency is looking to engage several experienced Cyber Security Architects to play a critical role in shaping secure and compliant IT environments. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days in-office per week, with flexibility for remote work arrangements for the remaining 2 days.
As a Cyber Security Architect, you will take on a senior leadership role in designing and delivering secure architecture solutions for complex and high-priority programs. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing areas such as identity and access management, cyber security operations, fraud prevention, and compliance governance.
Your new role
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement robust architectural designs that align with business requirements and operational goals.
- Provide expert advice and solutions across multiple domains, including public-facing systems, mobile applications, governance, and data analytics.
- Develop strategies, policies, and technical standards to ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational security frameworks.
- Analyse and resolve complex cyber security issues, ensuring timely delivery of secure and scalable solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting technical documentation and strategic insights to executive leadership.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in cyber security to continuously enhance system architecture.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in cyber security architecture, with proven expertise in security governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Experience working in agile environments, with the ability to adapt to changes in project scope and stakeholder requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in assessing risks and establishing security standards, particularly within greenfield environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Government ICT frameworks, with 5 years of experience in governance concepts, policy development, and framework documentation.
- Strong skills in technical documentation and the ability to deliver effective presentations to executives.
- Broad architectural knowledge across multiple domains, including business, information, security, data, and applications.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications.
