Your new roleWe are seeking an AO6 Senior Planning Officer for a 12-month contract. In this role you'll shape educational infrastructure strategies to support growing communities across Queensland. This role involves developing innovative plans, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and providing critical insights to guide decision-making. This is a Brisbane-based role with hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of infrastructure strategies, focusing on new schools, renewals, and enrolment growth.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, support, and attend regular team and project meetings to inform and support the delivery of practical infrastructure solutions.
- Prepare papers, briefing notes, presentations, and comprehensive reports on infrastructure planning issues, ensuring insights are evidence-based and actionable.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with departmental policies, governance frameworks, and risk management protocols.
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in the role, you will demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in infrastructure or strategic planning, ideally within a government or education sector context.
Exceptional analytical skills to interpret data and inform strategic decisions.
Familiarity with planning frameworks, governance processes, and policy development in a public sector environment.
