Environmental Coordinator

Join one of the largest Victorian regional urban water corporations as an Environmental Coordinator.

Your new company

Guided by their vision of "Water to Live, Grow and Enjoy," our client provides water and wastewater services across 49 towns, spanning 16,500 square kilometres in North Central Victoria.

Your new role

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the ongoing development and review of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Supporting various work groups across the organisation in implementing EMS principles, aiming to embed environmental management into standard business practices.
  • Assessing the organisation’s environmental performance against legislative requirements and EMS standards.
  • Contributing to environmental reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

In addition to qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Management, you’ll possess:
  • Experience in developing and implementing environmental management systems (highly desirable).
  • Expertise in environmental risk management, preferably in a senior advisory role.
  • Knowledge and practical application of environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Strong ability to grasp new concepts and deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Outstanding relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Competitive rate of pay: $50-60/hour + super.
  • 6-month contract with potential for extension.
