Your new role

You will lead and manage the Business Intelligence (BI) Testing Team, establishing testing standards, ensuring compliance with policies, and driving high-quality deliverables. In addition to mentoring team members, you'll collaborate with stakeholders, resolve escalations, and oversee testing activities to meet project goals and timelines.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Establish and enforce testing standards, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies related to BI testing.

  • Leading a team managing, coordinating and resourcing testing of multiple initiatives.

  • Direct management and mentoring of Test Team members

  • Building a high-performance team in accordance with client principles.

  • Supervising and direct leadership of testing team activity, ensuring targets are achieved and standards are kept.

  • Verifying the quality of deliverable developed solutions and ensuring the delivered solutions meet the technical and commercial needs of the business.

  • Implementation of new and existing test processes to facilitate successful delivery of testing services

  • Management and development of test team capabilities, prioritisation/coordination of testing activities and providing expertise in test analysis.

  • Being an escalation point for testing teams in order to resolve issues or mitigate risk

  • Relationship management of key delivery stakeholders

  • Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of testing requirements.

  • Facilitate regular meetings and discussions to address testing issues and ensure alignment with project goals.

  • 5–8 years + Experience of leading/managing a testing team

  • 15 years + Experience in Testing/QA

  • 3–5 years Experience working in BI Projects

  • Report progress regularly against projects/program requirements, proactively raising scope, schedule or budget issues with PM.

  • Experienced with a range of tools to suit the role (e.g. requirement, test or defect management, non-functional testing tools).

  • Defines and reviews Test Strategies, Vendor Estimates

  • Highly desirable previous experience working within the telecommunication industry with knowledge of telecommunication technologies, processes and support systems.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to easily develop new relationships with both vendors and colleagues.
