Your new role
Joining a small team, you will:
- Assist another payroll officer in managing the fortnightly pay-run of over 1000 employees; calculate terminations, reconcile superannuation, process backpays and STP reporting etc.
- Process some manual data entry and ensure payroll + time and attendance systems are maintained
- Interpret Awards, various contracts and agreements
- Complete adhoc duties
- Liaise with staff, management and stakeholders on payroll-related enquiries
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated end-to-end payroll processing experience
- Exposure to major payroll systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, processes including tax and superannuation
