Hays is proud to be partnering with Langford Support Services in the search for a commercially minded Chief Executive Officer. Based in Moonah, Langford was established in 1976 and is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of quality and flexible support services, supported accommodation, respite care, and activities for people living with a disability. Employing over 250 staff, Langford’s mission is to deliver quality services that enable people to live full and happy lives within their community.
Your New Role
Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board, you’ll be employed on a five-year fixed-term contract and lead a high-performing Executive team. You will be empowered to guide the organisation, ensuring strategic objectives are achieved in alignment with Langford’s mission and values. You’ll be responsible for supporting the Board’s decision-making through the provision of advice, and by developing and recommending policy and strategic initiatives. You’ll play a key role in maintaining Langford’s position as an industry leader in Tasmania, while identifying future business opportunities to support continued growth.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will be passionate about people and committed to giving back to the community. As a proven executive, you’ll bring a growth mindset, formal qualifications in a relevant discipline, and strong commercial acumen. You’ll have experience working in partnership with a Board and a comprehensive understanding of strategy and organisational growth. You’ll be a visionary and authentic leader with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a genuine desire to contribute to the disability sector. Candidates with commercial experience seeking to transition into the not-for-profit sector are encouraged to apply.
You’ll also be required to undertake a Working with Vulnerable People check, hold a current driver’s licence, and complete a pre-employment medical prior to commencement.
