The purpose of the position is to provide Configuration Management support to the program. As a member of the Asset Management Team, you will actively participate in nominated areas of business with respect to performance and improvements, risk, capability development and product support. You will collaborate with Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply and Training functions as well as within the wider team.

This position is Darwin-based and a long-term contracting opportunity with highly attractive daily rates. Defence experience is required, as well as proficiency in Commonwealth tools CMT-U and AMPS 7

Your Role

• Promote a Configuration Management culture that will ensure product attributes are defined.
• Promote a Configuration Management process to ensure that product configuration is documented and a known basis for making changes is established.
• Managing technical data
• Supporting the engineering change management process.
• Assisting the organisation with the provision of configuration data, their attributes and their validity across the whole lifecycle.
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the configuration & data records and the traceability and history
  
  What you'll need to succeed
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (5 or more years) in Configuration Management or Engineering Discipline.
• Australian Citizenship - essential
  Desirable Experience:
  Experience in a CM Controller role or equivalent.
  Experience in ship building, repair, and/or maintenance and knowledge of Navy ship systems.
  Trained in Configuration Management fundamentals, either through internal training or formal qualifications.
