Your new company

Working with a large global organisation, it develops and builds high-quality full-turnkey solar power plants. The company provides world-class Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services to its customers around the globe. This organisation has a large portfolio of executing more than 2.2 GWp of constructed solar power plants. They are looking for a Site Manager to work on a large project in QLD.

Your new role

As the Site Manager, your role is to ensure the effective delivery of all site activities in line with the scope and schedule of the project.

  • Oversee the construction and installation of solar power plants at various project sites.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Manage site safety, quality control, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve any issues that arise during construction.
  • Monitor progress, track costs, and report to senior management.
  • Engineering Background: A degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience of managing construction projects, especially in the renewable energy sector, is valuable.
  • Leadership Skills: Site Managers need strong leadership abilities to manage teams effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to address unexpected challenges during construction.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Safety Awareness: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or similar field/trade experience and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years in a similar role with demonstrable experience in the delivery of large scale solar and/or BESS project
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to manage conflict.
  • Advanced IT skills include the MS suite and project management software.
  • Highly developed planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A focus on finding solutions, driving outcomes and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
