Partnering with a boutique data services company in Sydney who work with a range of customers, including financial services, gambling and data/analytics research

• Analysing, validating, correcting, extracting, transforming, and reporting on data from a range of sources, including Oracle
• Providing feedback to the Analyst Team Leader and Manager via planning meetings and other means of communication as appropriate.
• Providing out of hours on-call support.

• Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level or above and a willingness to improve this knowledge.
• Knowledge of specific Oracle SQL dialect and PL/SQL is an advantage or a commitment to learn these skills.
• Ability to work with very large datasets and resulting structured file output.
• Basic knowledge or above of at least one modern general purpose programming language (e.g., Python).
• Knowledge of Tableau is an advantage or knowledge of other business intelligence tools where skills are transferable (e.g., PowerBI).
• Knowledge of one or more proprietary or open-source non-relational databases and tools is an advantage (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Clickhouse)
• Demonstrated knowledge in using task management systems (e.g., Jira) or a willingness to acquire this knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of task scheduling tools (e.g., Jenkins) or a willingness to acquire this knowledge.
• Ability to work in a team of 4-6 people and be part of a wider group of 15-20 people.
• Communication skills, specifically, interpersonal and group oral and written presentation skills. This includes the ability to communicate clearly, often in pressure situations.
• Ability to switch between tasks when faced with changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently, exercise discretion and judgement and be self-motivated.
