Your new company
A Government Health department in Nedlands, are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the team as soon as possible. You will initially be engaged on a temporary basis through Hays, working full-time hours Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm. You will be paid on a competitive hourly rate plus super, working in a department with paid parking on site or easy access to public transport.
Your new role
As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for repairs, maintenance and installation services of mechanical plant, equipment and systems. Your additional duties will include:
- Investigate faults and minor new work tasks and report on recommended solutions
- Estimate material quantities and carry out new installations or modifications
- Support in directing other trades staff and apprentices as required
- Ensure that equipment and tools are securely locked away
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must display:
- A recognised qualification or certificate in Mechanical Fitting
- Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems, plants and services
- The ability to work autonomously
- Strong understanding of fault-finding and quality control
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage
