Your new company

A government organisation based in East Perth, are seeking a confident Procurement Officer to join the procurement team. You will be required to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary contract paying a competitive hourly rate.

Your new role

As the Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Managing low value and low risk community service contracts
• Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders around best practice procurement processes
• Managing and reviewing contracts on behalf of the procurement team, organising contract extensions and variations as required
• Monitoring contractor performance against key performance indicators, reporting on performance as needed

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered, you will have:

• Previous experience working in a procurement and / or contract management role within the WA Government sector
• Excellent attention to detail
• Confident written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in providing advice around procurement processes
• Excellent organisation skills
