Pedagogy Coordinator 7-12

Located in Marsden Park, this Catholic school caters for students from Preschool to year 12. The school boasts excellent, modern, first-rate, facilities built 'for purpose' to cater for the growing community of the area. From humble beginnings, the school now caters for over 1700 students across P-12. The school has a focus on innovative learning and teaching, fostering creativity and innovative thinking in students whilst nurturing students' personal and faith journeys of growth.

Your new role

The pedagogy coach works within the team of pedagogy coaches and is accountable to heads of school for leading the learning priorities across the school. You will work closely with teachers in co-planning, co-teaching, debriefing and reflecting on their pedagogy both in small and large groups, building capacity and offering in-situ professional learning opportunities for them. This is a 3-point coordinator position with appropriate paid allowance, and a mix of teaching, release, and coaching time allocated. There are two opportunities presently available, one specialising in Mathematics, the other working across other KLA’s.


What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will:
  • Collaboratively lead, mentor and coach teachers to design flexible curriculum and contemporary pedagogies.
  • Take responsibility for enhancing learning outcomes which enhance the social skills and enterprise skills required for a changing world
  • Provide relevant and authentic student centred learning
  • Improve student learning through focussed, in-situ teacher professional learning
  • Effectively use data to facilitate learning which meets each student at their point of challenge
  • Support the Principal in the ministry of leadership, reflecting the mission of the Church by modelling respectful relationships with colleagues, students and families.
  • Maintain a relational approach to team building through collaboration and critical thinking.
  • Model highly accomplished teaching using contemporary pedagogy and flexible curriculum design.
  • Possess high level communication skills and interpersonal skills, including empathy and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to a culture which enables imagination, creativity and innovation.
Applicants must hold NESA registration and current working with children check to be eligible for employment as a teacher in NSW.
