An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Support Officer to support a large State Government department in East Perth for a 6-month temporary assignment.
Your new role
You will be joining the business improvement and Information and Communication Technology area of the business, so a strong preference goes to candidates with a technology background.
- Monitor and triage mailboxes as required
- Assist the team with coordinating and scheduling as required.
- Assist with facilitating and documenting workshops/meetings required by the team
- Provide administrative support of governance bodies and working groups.
- Follow and track action items from planning meetings and forums as required;
- Assist with the development and maintenance of team documents and artefacts.
- Assist with communication activities as required by the team manager.
- Project coordination activities.
- Assist the Manager with compiling reports.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated strong analysis and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated strong organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail.
- Previous administration or supporting role experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in administrative support activities, including the use of Microsoft Office Products and electronic document management systems with the experience in maintaining a visual timeline of priorities and projects
- A current police clearance, dated within the past 3 months (or willing to obtain)
