Our client is a well-established family-owned construction organisation based in Cairns with a speciality in servicing remote North QLD. Due to an increase in workload and projected business expansion, they are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Project Manager to join their dedicated team. This is a permanent vacancy.
Your new role
Your new role will be diverse and rewarding, providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact on a local family-owned business. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive project management on construction projects, contracts administration and establishing innovative solutions to effectively deliver projects on time and to budget.
Your professionalism and strong communication skills will assist in day-to-day duties including stakeholder management, liaising with subcontractors, new & established clients and suppliers, implementing systems, compliance, site inspections, performance reporting and improving internal processes and procedures.
Additional key responsibilities of the role:
- Develop precise cost estimates and generate monthly financial reports detailing profit and loss
- Oversee the distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies across remote site locations
- Ensure the delivery of precise project schedules
- Formulate safety, quality, and environmental management plans for projects
What you'll need to succeed
You have a strong background in construction, ideally trade qualified with extensive experience working as a Project Manager. You are enthusiastic and driven with a growth mindset.
The following will additionally lead to your success:
- Diploma in Project Management, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Analytical with strong communication
- Proficient in Microsoft projects and Excel
- Strong organisational skills
- Systems experience – Procore desirable
- Desirable: QBCC Licence, Machinery Tickets, EWP, Forklift, Asbestos Supervisor
