Your new role

As a Senior Lawyer in this 9-month temp contract, you will play a crucial role in supporting the core disciplinary function by providing solicitor services and case managing complex legal activities. You will work closely with principal decision makers to ensure a planned approach and apply principles of procedural fairness, administrative law, and legislative interpretation to make sound recommendations.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Case managing complex matters

• Reviewing and examining practitioner representations, analysing evidence, and identifying alleged breaches

• Facilitating discipline-related undertakings and appearing before tribunals

• Preparing correspondence and case documentation

• Ensuring compliance with correspondence and notification requirements

• Contributing to continuous improvement across compliance and enforcement

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 3+ Years PAE

• Proven experience working within a disciplinary or prosecutorial setting

• Sound working knowledge of administrative law.

• Strong analytical and relationship-building skills

• Qualifications required for this position include admission or eligibility for admission to the legal profession in an Australian jurisdiction and a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent).
