Your new role
As a Senior Lawyer in this 9-month temp contract, you will play a crucial role in supporting the core disciplinary function by providing solicitor services and case managing complex legal activities. You will work closely with principal decision makers to ensure a planned approach and apply principles of procedural fairness, administrative law, and legislative interpretation to make sound recommendations.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Case managing complex matters
Reviewing and examining practitioner representations, analysing evidence, and identifying alleged breaches
Facilitating discipline-related undertakings and appearing before tribunals
Preparing correspondence and case documentation
Ensuring compliance with correspondence and notification requirements
Contributing to continuous improvement across compliance and enforcement
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
3+ Years PAE
Proven experience working within a disciplinary or prosecutorial setting
Sound working knowledge of administrative law.
Strong analytical and relationship-building skills
Qualifications required for this position include admission or eligibility for admission to the legal profession in an Australian jurisdiction and a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent).
