Your new role

In your new role as a Mechanical Engineer, you will be required to:

• Conduct small to medium localised engineering activities
• Conduct and support the definition, testing and evaluation of designs
• Conduct and support component design
• Assess conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
• Contribute to the development and management of a technical support network
• Define and manage the work of assigned internal and external resources
• Provide requirements management for technical projects
• Provide technical input for tenders
• Provide professional engineering advice and authorisation within assigned technical delegations
• Define and support technical and design reviews
• Provide support and advice to other technical resources
• Develop and review documentation such as specifications, test procedures, maintenance instructions, drawings, defective material & design reports and engineering technical reports
• Lead technical problem-solving activities using robust processes

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in obtaining this role, it is important that you possess:

• The ability to gain and obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
• A Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering
• Ability to interpret Technical Drawings and Schematics
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and team work skills
