Your new role

As an Urban Designer at this council, projects will have a strong focus on community engagement. Tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Providing urban design and design quality advice for the Council and acting as key expert on court works

• Collaborating with others to deliver urban design and place-making projects

• Working closely with the wider team on the delivery of the Council’s new LEP, place plans and DCP’s.

• Coordinating and delivering masterplans, providing advice on urban design issues for development applications, planning proposals and precinct plans and other parts of the Council as required

What you'll need to succeed

It is essential that you have tertiary qualifications in Urban Design or Architecture and relevant professional experience in Urban Design. This can be from public or private sector space, but exposure to NSW legislation is essential. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years Urban Design experience.

What you'll get in return

The contract will be for a minimum 12-month period and is a good way to get exposure to particularly interesting Urban Design works in a well-recognised Local Government Authority.
