This independent statutory authority, established by the Australian Federal Government, is seeking multiple APS5 Reportable Incidents Resolution Officers to join them for an 18-month period.

Your new role

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of managing and assessing reportable incidents, providing education and training to providers, and developing strategic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You’ll also contribute to a learning culture and support team capability building.


What you'll need to succeed

  • You’ll be responsible for assessing complex incidents, including those involving the unfortunate passing of individuals with disabilities, and escalating incidents for further action when necessary.
  • Identify trends and issues through oversight and review of reportable incidents, providing valuable advice to the NDIS Commission.
  • Provide crucial education and training to providers about identifying incidents and effectively responding to abuse and neglect of individuals with disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with a diverse range of external stakeholders, including state and territory counterparts, service providers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare complex and sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, including reports, briefings, and submissions.
  • Contribute to a learning culture where expertise can be developed and shared.
  • Background understanding of interpreting and applying legislation, previous experience of regulator work and awareness of the disability sector/ previous experience is desired.
  • Must be an Australian citizen.

What you'll get in return

  • 18-month contract with an option to extend.

  • Based in Penrith or Parramatta
  • $55 - 59 per hour plus super
  • Hybrid working arrangements
Working hours are 8am - 5pm 5 days a week, but can be flexible on start and finish times depending on the person's needs.
