• Lead and motivate the team to delight their customers by exceeding expectations.
• Inspire, motivate and develop a team who are respectful, competent and committed, and who love interaction and engagement with their customers.
• Provide leadership and drive a culture that reflects their vision, passion and values
• Establish the Store Team’s objectives, policies and activities
• Encourage interaction within the store team, and provide continual feedback for growth and development
• Assist in the recruitment, induction, coaching, training and development of store team members. This is to include all training programs, success factors programs and in store 1:1’s.
• Manage and direct store activities towards achievement of the store’s budget
• Use historical data to set daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales budgets
• Plan and deliver advertising and promotions to develop and maintain optimum store traffic
• Bring to life the brand and company vision to life through the look and feel of the store
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and contractors
• Perform periodic stocktakes to be reported to Director

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in a retail management position
• Ability to merchandise effectively essential. Experience in home furnishing a plus
• Willingness to lead a team in all aspects, including rostering, health and safety, sales training, setting individual goals and 1 on 1 mentoring
• Demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Strong administrative skill set, including forecasting and monitoring budgets using excel
• Experience and understanding of harnessing social media, SEO and internet advertising is advantageous
