Hays has partnered with a State Government entity responsible for maintaining water infrastructure & catchment assets in SEQ.

Your new role

There are currently a need for temporary assistance in the form of additional Field Ranger's to service the Somerset & Wivenhoe Dam regions. As the Field Ranger you will be responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance works focusing on fire management & prevention activities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Undertake patrols on land and water to ensure policies are being adhered to
• Organise and oversee contractors and arrange plant, material, and equipment as required
• Grounds maintenance
• Landscaping, tree-planting, fencing & minor capital improvements as required.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. Essential requirements include:

• Construction White Card
• Agriculture Chemical Licence (ACDC)
• C Class, Manual Drivers Licence

Certificates in Conservation & Land Management, Natural Resource Management &/or Horticulture would be very highly regarded.

What you'll get in return

You will be offered an immediate start in a full-time contracted role within a Queensland government agency located in Ipswich. You will be offered an initial 3-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension, paying a OO2-3 rate + super.
