Your new company

Hays have exclusively partnered with Centacare North Queensland for the recruitment of 4 management positions within their organisation. Centacare NQ is a not-for-profit organisation that provides valuable counselling, family support, mediation, family dispute resolution, education, homelessness, youth, community engagement and NDIS services to the local community.


Your new role

You will manage a team of up to 15 staff and report to the Director of Client Services. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Operational oversight of program practices and service delivery to maintain integrity of program deliverables in line with legislation, funding body and organisational requirements.

  • Oversight and management of daily operations of the Family Intervention Service and RAIFS and Normanton Youth Services Teams across the organisation, including provision of performance development, practice direction, staff support, and supervision

  • Ensure appropriate reporting is carried out within expected timeframes and the program operates within expected governance frameworks

  • Undertake continuous improvement activities to ensure services are operating at an optimal level.

  • Maintain strong, productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including peers, funding body representatives, and community partners.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, or related field

  • Experience in a senior people management position

  • Demonstrated knowledge of governance reporting responsibilities and timeframes, within the Queensland government-funded community service Human Services Quality Framework

  • Current Driver's Licence, Disability Worker Screening and Blue Card
